Libraries

We are delighted to announce that our libraries will re-open on Monday 24th January 2022. Please check updated library opening hours on our website or by phone before visiting.

Bookbug Sessions

Bookbug sessions can be enjoyed online at home by visiting our Facebook and YouTube page every Tuesday at 11am.

Groups, Events and Activities

All in-person groups, events and activities for both adults and children are unavailable at present but we hope to resume them in the near future. 

Local History Department at Carnegie Library, Ayr

Access to our local history department is by appointment only during limited hours.

PC Access

Our public access PCs are now available. In order to ensure your slot please contact the library to book your computer time by phone, or online. Please note that a library card and PIN number are required. If you would like more information visit How to book a PC.

Museums and Galleries

Good news! Our museums and galleries will reopen on Monday 24 January 2022. Rozelle House, the Maclaurin Art Gallery and the McKechnie Institute will offer their normal opening hours and entry will remain free of charge. To discover what's on visit our exhibition calendar.

The Grain Exchange

The Grain Exchange, which is operating as an indoor market, will remain open until Friday 24 December, in line with government guidance. The position will be reviewed, and further information will be issued in January.
