We also look to compare our performance with other councils, to help us assess how we are doing and to allow you, the public, to see our performance in context.
By 'benchmarking' our performance we are able to see whether there might be opportunities to learn from others who appear to be doing things better than us, and also to share our best practice, all with the common aim of helping to drive improvement.

Local Government Benchmarking Framework
One of the ways we do this is through the Scottish Local Government Benchmarking Framework (LGBF) where performance against 80 measures is compared across Scotland.
