Supporting Gypsy Travellers in Education

In order to fully recognise the rights and values of South Ayrshire's Gypsy/Traveller community, the Learning and Inclusion Team provide support to ensure Gypsy/Traveller children can be supported to access education. We offer the following supports:

• P7-S1 transition for Gypsy/traveller pupils
• Gypsy/Traveller outreach offered via learning and Inclusion Team teachers to support pupils to access Secondary mainstream education provision
• Online educational support available through work with STEP (Scottish Traveller Education Programme)
