Travel in style to the Communities Fun Day 2022

South Ayrshire Council's award-winning Communities Fun Day is back on Saturday 10 September 2022.

Thanks to Stagecoach, you can travel to the event in style on a special open top bus!

The bus which has been specially set up for the event will be running at various times throughout the day.

You will need to show your free Communities Fun Day ticket, to access the bus which will be running from Ayr Bus Station and the Communities Fun Day Free Park and Ride Station available at Ayr Beach Park (located at Blackburn Drive).  The first bus will leave Ayr Bus Station at 10:15am.

Representatives from Stagecoach will be on hand to chat with members of the community on the day, Stagecoach is also bringing along a vintage bus and an electric bus to the vehicle display area at the fun day.

Tenants, staff, and Councillors recently tested the bus service ahead of the event.

Councillor Martin Kilbride, Buildings, Housing and Environment Portfolio Holder for South Ayrshire Council said: "We are delighted that Stagecoach continue to support our Communities Fun Day by making it easier and fun for attendees to travel to the event. The event is just around the corner and the excitement is growing."

The Communities Fun Day is taking place at the Citadel Leisure Centre, South Harbour Street, Ayr from 11am until 4pm and free tickets for the event can be reserved online at https://sacfunday2022.eventbrite.co.uk  or by calling the ticket hotline 01292 319275 during office hours.
