South Ayrshire Council's report was published on 2nd November 2023, following a meeting of the Accounts Commission on 12th October. The report highlights that South Ayrshire Council manages its money well and some services are improving, but the pace of change has been too slow. The report can be viewed here

The purpose of this report was to advise the Cabinet of the findings from Audit Scotland's recent Best Value thematic work in South Ayrshire, seek approval of the draft improvement action plan and provide a response to the matters raised at Audit and Governance Panel on 28 June 2023.
