Provost Headway 30th anniversary

South Ayrshire Provost, Iain Campbell, attended Headway Ayrshire's 30th anniversary celebration on Wednesday 4 December.

Provost Campbell gave a speech congratulating the organisation on their milestone anniversary and thanking them for their invaluable contribution to the Ayrshire community.

Headway is a charity which aims to raise awareness around head and brain injuries and educate people to help avoid future incidences of head and brain injury. They also offer consistent needs-based support to those affected, their families, and carers, and campaign for better services.

Headway's Annual Achievements Awards Ceremony was also hosted as part of the celebration. Provost Campbell presented the 2024 Achievement Award for the South Ayrshire Community Rehabilitation Group to client, William Arlow, and presented a gift to Evelyn McNair, Chair of Headway Ayrshire.

South Ayrshire Provost, Iain Campbell, said: "I'd like to congratulate Headway Ayrshire on reaching this fantastic milestone - 30 years serving the population of Ayrshire is a wonderful achievement. Year upon year their work has improved the quality of life of many clients and their loved ones. Many people may not understand the ways that head and brain injury can affect the lives of those within our community, which can make it even more challenging for individuals to get the support they need."

Evelyn McNair, Chair - Headway Ayrshire said: "I'm delighted that Provost Campbell and Provost Leitch joined us for our 30th anniversary and celebrated this important milestone for the charity."
