Girvan's Story Regeneration Project - Traditional Skills Audit Questionnaire

The purpose of this skills audit is to understand the existing skills base and identify skills gaps in the local area, as well as any specific challenges that our local industry is facing. This information will be used to inform the development a traditional skills training plan for Girvan and South Carrick which will be delivered over a 5-year period if we are successful in our funding bid.  Our planned activities will aim to support the local construction industry to meet future demand by providing training opportunities, using local training providers where possible.

We are interested in hearing from any companies or individuals who undertake work to historic buildings/structures in South Ayrshire, either as a tradesperson or construction professional.

By taking part in this Audit you are helping to ensure that our plans for Girvan's Story meet the needs of the local community, and that we maximise the benefit of any available funding.

Please note that the anonymised findings of this Audit will be shared with Historic Environment Scotland colleagues to support strategic planning and programme development and delivery.

More information on the Girvan's Story project can be found at Girvan's Story - South Ayrshire Council (south-ayrshire.gov.uk), or by contacting the project officer directly by e-mailing girvansstory@south-ayrshire.gov.uk.

Questionnaire closing date 4pm on Friday 6 September.
