Safer Shores fun in the sun

Safer Shores 2024 is here in time for the holidays, and we're working in partnership with Ayrshire Civil Contingencies Team, British Red Cross, British Transport Police, Coastwatch, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, NHS Ayrshire & Arran, East and North Ayrshire Councils, Police Scotland, ScotRail, Scottish Ambulance Service, and Scottish Fire and Rescue, to make sure that we can all make the most of another fantastic summer on Ayrshire's beaches.

The purpose of Safer Shores is to ensure that everyone who visits the Ayrshire coast during the holidays and the 'beach season' can get here safely, has a fantastic visitor experience, and continue to come back and enjoy all that the Ayrshire coast has to offer.

Safer Shores partners work together to ensure that everyone can enjoy a great day out at the beach, experience what our towns have to offer and have fun in the sun.

Safer Shores supports ScotRail and the British Transport Police on the ban of alcohol consumption on trains. There will be extra Police Scotland and British Transport Police patrols to ensure everyone can have a safe and enjoyable day out in Ayrshire.

Come along and join us this summer - #AyrshireSaferShores style.
