Every Learner Every Day

In South Ayrshire we know that going to school is a great way to prepare children and young people for the future. We've launched the 'Every Learner, Every Day' campaign to highlight the benefits of going to school, such as having fun with friends, learning about the world, and developing life skills.

South Ayrshire school pupils have told us some of the reasons they enjoy going to school -

Lauren who attends St Johns Primary School in Ayr said:"School helps medevelop skills that will help me when I am older. When I leave school, I want to be an author. Going to school will help me to get the grades I need to go to university."

Alicia from Ayr Academy said: "I like Art as I get to show my personality. I also like English as I love to read. I would like to be a hairdresser when I leave school, getting qualifications will help me get to college so I can do hair and beauty."

Finn who goes to Carrick Academy said: "Going to school means I can see my friends. I love sports, so when I leave school, I want to teach PE. Attending school will help me get the qualifications I need."

Toby from Girvan Primary School said: "I like doing PE because it's fun. I also love Maths. I want to be a writer when I grow up, so going to school will really help."

South Ayrshire young people have been appearing in adverts and posters to help encourage attendance and highlight positive experiences at schools within South Ayrshire. You can view a video advert starring pupils below:
