Urgent allergy advice - mustard ingredients
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) have advised that "batches of mustard, mustard powder and mustard flour imported to the UK have been found to contain undeclared peanut." As this could present a significant food safety issue, the Council would like to urgently advise families of any young people with peanut allergies, that in line with the FSS and FSA guidance received, certain dishes available on South Ayrshire school menus should be avoided for the time being until a further update can be provided.
