South Ayrshire Collections

South Ayrshire Council's Museum and Gallery service care for and manage the collections of South Ayrshire Council acquired by the former Burghs of Troon, Ayr, Girvan, Prestwick and Maybole. These also include collections previously housed at Belleisle House and the Tam o' Shanter Museum in Ayr.

The Museum and Gallery team work to make these collections as accessible as possible, incorporating them into the programme of changing exhibitions at both Rozelle House and the McKechnie, adding local resonance to the touring exhibitions we host, as well as displaying them within council offices.
