P7 - S1 transfer arrangements

The application process will open on Monday 27 November 2023

Each year parents/carers of children currently attending Primary 7 are required to inform us which secondary school they would like their child to attend, in the following August. Your home address will determine which secondary schools are your designated catchment secondary schools, each address in South Ayrshire has one denominational and one non-denominational catchment secondary school.

Attend catchment

If you wish your child to attend their catchment secondary school, complete a P7 - S1 transfer arrangements form

For those unable to complete the P7 - S1 transfer arrangements form online please contact your child's primary school who will assist you with the transfer process.

Not attend catchment

If you do not wish your child to attend their catchment secondary school you must do the following:

1.    Complete the P7 - S1 transfer arrangements form and

2.    Submit a school placing request application form for the secondary school you would like your child to attend. Parents/carers should be aware that once they have submitted a placing request application form they have no automatic right to a place at their catchment secondary school.
