Energy Efficient Scotland: Area Based Schemes (EES ABS)
The Scottish Government has awarded grant funding to all Local Authorities in financial year 2023-24 to continue work under the Area Based Schemes.
This funding is awarded to Local Authorities to develop and deliver solid wall insulation programmes to improve the energy performance of privately owned homes across Scotland, therefore reducing household energy bills and lowering carbon emissions in the housing sector. We also provide capital funding to their own stock which enables delivery of a mixed-tenure programme.
We employ local energy efficiency charity the Energy Agency as managing agent of the EES ABS programme. South Ayrshire Council and the Energy Agency are currently finalising the address list for this year's programme and will be contacting households in agreed project areas in due course.
