The Holy Fair Returns in June!

Holy Fair 23

This is an archived article from 28 April 2023.

The hugely popular Holy Fair with Armed Forces and Pipes in the Park will return to Ayr's Low Green on Saturday 17 June 2023.

The free event, organised by South Ayrshire Council, is a firm family favourite with something for everyone to enjoy.

Children, young people, and families can look forward to an array of fairground rides; a pipe band contest; a highland dance contest and dance arena; flag raising ceremony; market and charity stalls; military attractions and even a children's fun dog show, with lots more still to be announced!

This fantastic event, which has been running for over 30 years, is also an opportunity to support our Armed Forces as well as service families, veterans, and cadets.

The day will start with the official Flag Raising ceremony at 11.45am, followed by an afternoon full of exciting and engaging activities and attractions.

Councillor Alec Clark, South Ayrshire Council's Portfolio Holder for Tourism, Culture and Rural Affair said: "The Holy Fair is a fantastic day out for the family out and this year promises to be the best yet.

It is a prime example of the kind of event South Ayrshire is renowned for. It gives us the opportunity to showcase what the area has to offer, while at the same time giving a welcome boost to the local economy."

If you'd like to get involved, visit the Low Green in Ayr on Saturday 17 June between 12:00pm - 4:00pm.
