Diamond Wedding Celebrations for Bill and Margaret

William and Margaret Gilchrist recently celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.

William, who is originally from Oxton, met Margaret from Galston in Aberdeen. The couple married at Galston Parish Church before settling in Troon, where they have lived happily for the last five decades. They have 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

South Ayrshire Council's Provost Iain Campbell recently visited Bill and Margaret to congratulate them on the anniversary. Also pictured is Depute Lord Lieutenant David Dickson.
