Get your bearings ahead of the event - air show Festival Village map available now

The International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight is set to take place at Ayr Low Green next week, between Friday 8 - Sunday 10 September.

Not only will you be able to witness some superb aerial displays in our skies - there will also be plenty to keep you amused on the ground at our Festival Village.

Come along and see the fabulous classic car display, meander through the military village, or get hands on at our interactive creative zone.  Our extreme sports display will get the adrenalin pumping, or if you'd prefer to slow the pace down, you can head over to our Healing Centre or relax for a while in our free cinema that will show classic aviation films and documentaries. 

You'll also be treated to live music from Drums n' Roses and our wandering pipe band.

There will also be a range of stalls to wander around and plenty of food and drink options to choose from.

Our Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) marquee, The Sky Way, will be open to everyone of all ages for the duration of the festival. 

Plus, on Sunday 10 September, we'll have beach sports, an assault course and water games available, all close-by the Festival Village at Ayr beach.

These are just some of the fantastic activities and entertainment that will be on offer in the Festival Village.

The air show Festival Village will be open at the following times - so why not make a full weekend of it?

• Friday 8 September - 4:00pm - 9:15pm 
• Saturday 9 September - 12:00noon - 6:00pm 
• Sunday 10 September - 12:00noon - 5:00pm

South Ayrshire Council's Director of Strategic Change and Communities, Jane Bradley, said: "There will be loads to keep the whole family entertained at our air show Festival Village, starting on Friday afternoon and running right through until 5:00pm on Sunday.  Whether you want to join in some of the activities, or prefer to sit back and watch, there's plenty of great entertainment lined up in the village.

"There will be experts on hand all weekend at our STEM marquee and we're encouraging everyone of all ages to pay a visit.  It'll be the perfect opportunity to learn more about the potential career prospects these subjects have to offer."
