Provost meets with Barga Mayor

South Ayrshire Provost Iain Campbell recently met Caterina Campani, Mayor of Barga to celebrate the strong connection between the Italian town and South Ayrshire. Mayor Campani also visited South Ayrshire in 2022, and was invited to County Buildings, Ayr for a Civic Reception.

A large number of Scottish-Italian families hail from the small town in Tuscany, and many of these families run businesses such as restaurants, ice cream parlours and fish and chip shops along the West Coast of Scotland.
