Summer Family Fest

The popular Holy Fair event is set to return to Ayr's Low Green, this year with a new name!

Get ready for 'Summer Family Fest with Armed Forces and Pipes in the Park' on Saturday 22 June.

The free event will start at 11.45am with the official Flag Raising ceremony, followed by an afternoon full of exciting and engaging activities and attractions.

Children, young people and families can look forward to an array of fairground rides; a pipe band contest; a highland dance contest and dance arena; flag raising ceremony; market and charity stalls; military attractions and even a children's fun dog show, with lots more still to be announced.

Team Extreme will be displaying their exhilarating skills at the event, with BMX, skateboarder and scooter performances, and there will be an opportunity for attendees to have a go on the ramp too!

This fantastic event, which has been running for over 30 years, is an opportunity to support our Armed Forces as well as service families, veterans, and cadets.

South Ayrshire Council's Portfolio Holder for Tourism, Culture and Rural Affairs said: "I'm delighted that this event is returning for another year, it's always a firm family favourite as there's something for everyone.

"I'm sure many people may have already seen the festival being advertised locally, and this year promises to be the best yet. The event is also a great opportunity to support our Armed Forces as well as cadets, service families and veterans. It builds on our fantastic schedule of events this year, showcasing what South Ayrshire has to offer and boosting the local economy."

If you'd like to get involved, visit the Low Green in Ayr on Saturday 22 June between 12:00pm - 4:00pm.
