South Ayrshire Community Planning Partnership Local Outcomes Improvement Plan gains endorsement

The Local Outcomes Improvement Plan (LOIP) for 2024-2029 was endorsed by South Ayrshire Councillors at the Cabinet meeting which took place on Tuesday 21 May.  

The new LOIP has two high level outcomes focused on place and wellbeing, under which sit key priority areas incorporating Children's Services, Community Safety, Population Health, Sustainability and Financial Inclusion and Growth.

When consulted, local communities showed high levels of support for the priority areas proposed in the LOIP, and work will now begin to develop supporting action plans to take forward the priority areas. 

Councillor Julie Dettbarn, Chair of the Community Planning Partnership Board said: "I am delighted that the Local Outcomes Improvement Plan for 2024-2029 has been endorsed. This is an important step forward for South Ayrshire, which will allow us to take meaningful action to improve the quality of life within our area."

Leader of South Ayrshire Council, and Corporate and Strategic Portfolio Holder, Councillor Martin Dowey, said: "South Ayrshire Council are proud to support the new LOIP. We're taking strides towards improving the wellbeing of residents and making South Ayrshire a better place to live."
