Woodward join forces with Council as key airshow sponsor

Airshow Sponsor Woodward

South Ayrshire Council is delighted to welcome Woodward as a key sponsor of The International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight.

The company have signed up to sponsor the much-anticipated 2024 event, which will take place on 6 and 7 September at Ayr shore front.

Woodward has aerospace and industrial sites across 12 countries, and its Prestwick-based aerospace facility, for the past 26 years, has served the MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) requirements for the EMEA region in the repair and overhaul of the complex fuel and actuations systems found on many of the large commercial aircraft operating in the region.

General Manager of Woodward's Prestwick campus, Andy Marshall, said: "We are thrilled to be part of this year's International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight. Woodward has been a proud member of the Prestwick community since 1997 and we're excited to continue our partnership with the community."

South Ayrshire Council's Director of Communities and Transformation, Jane Bradley, said: "Our sponsors play an important role in the success of The International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight. The 2023 festival shone a light on what we can achieve as a Council and it's brilliant to see this recognised via sponsorship sign up for this year's event. I'd like to welcome Woodward as they join us as a key sponsor of the 2024 festival, which is set to be another outstanding weekend of thrilling aerial displays, great family entertainment and much more!"
