Girvan

Timeline of community engagement: 

• South Ayrshire Council worked in 2019 and early 2020 with the local community, businesses and partner organisations to develop a plan to set out the local community's priorities and actions.  

• The 2021 Girvan Place Plan Girvan Place Plan 2021 was set with 40 actions covering 5 different themes: Streets and Moving Around; Clean and Well Kept; Sport and Recreation; Empowered and Involved Community; and Access to Jobs. In the last three months of 2023, an audit of these 40 actions from the place plan action plan. 19 of these actions were actioned (approved and/or completed), 19 actions are still on-going showing progression, with only 2 actions which weren't successful. The following diagram gives more detail of these accomplishments. 

• The community action plan will eventually be revisited, with a new community-led action plan to complement the other projects and initiatives which are currently being accomplished in Girvan. For more information please contact Audrey.gatt@south-ayrshire.gov.uk
