Timeline of community engagement:
During 2025, South Ayrshire Council supported the Loans Community Council to develop a community-led action plan for 2025 up to 2030. Just after the completion of the publication of the action plan, the Loans Community Council had to fold due to insufficient participation to constitute a group. The actions and projects from the action plan are now being supported and taken forward by the village hall group and Life in Loans. Follow the link to view the action plan
Between November 2021 and February 2022, the Council undertook a series of Community Conversations with the community in Loans, that sought to identify the main concerns facing residents. In July 2022 the Loans engagement outcomes paper was published.
The Loans Community Council was supported by the South Ayrshire Council with a community engagement process and developed a community-led action plan. We would appreciate if you could spend some time reviewing the proposed Loans Community-led Action Plan 2025 – 2030 (PDF, 72 MB). Any feedback can be either sent to the Life in Loans Facebook page or emailed to [email protected] till the 28th of July 2025. After the deadline, the community-led action plan will be adopted by the Loans Community Council.
