Spirit AeroSystems sign up as key sponsor of 2024 airshow

South Ayrshire Council is delighted to announce that Spirit AeroSystems has become a key sponsor of the 2024 International Ayr Show - Festival of Flight.

Spirit AeroSystems designs and builds aerostructures for both commercial and defence customers. Their core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components.

The company, which has sites across the globe, employs around 1200 people at their facility in Prestwick.

Spirit was also a major sponsor of the hugely successful 2023 airshow.

Leader of South Ayrshire Council, Councillor Martin Dowey, said: "It's excellent news that Spirit has signed up as a key sponsor of the airshow.  The company put their faith in the Council last year - the first time that we organised and delivered an airshow - and it's fantastic to see them return for the 2024 event."
