Girvan Primary School Pupils Release Inspiring Song "Harbour for Your Dreams"

Pupils from Primary 5/6 at Girvan Primary School have released a song called Harbour for Your Dreams. The group calling themselves The Tomorrow Kids are celebrating as their track is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms.

Created in collaboration with local musician Scott Nicol, the song captures the aspirations of these young learners while showcasing their deep pride in being from the coastal town of Girvan.  Through heartfelt lyrics and uplifting melodies, the track reflects their hopes and dreams, demonstrating both their creativity and passion for music.

Councillor William Grant, Education Portfolio Holder for South Ayrshire Council, praised the pupils' achievement, saying: "This has been a fantastic, creative project for the pupils to be involved in, and it's a great song! The release marks a significant achievement for the school community, celebrating both artistic expression and local identity."

Class teacher, Mr Bell added: "This project has been an extraordinary journey for the class and has demonstrated the power of the arts in developing essential literacy skills as well as supporting health and wellbeing.  The song has provided an opportunity for each learner to shine and showcase their unique skills and talents across the curriculum. I am incredibly proud of the young people and the song."
