Contaminated land

South Ayrshire Council is responsible for the assessment, inspection and investigation of contaminated land within the South Ayrshire area.

Land classed as contaminated will require to be remediated and entered on the Council's remediation register. Our officers will be involved in discussion with owner and developers in setting remediation standards and targets, the service of notices where required and supervision of remediation.
