Local Government Election - 5 May 2022

The Local Government Election took place on Thursday 5 May 2022. The electronic counting of votes took place at the Citadel Leisure Centre, Ayr, on Friday 6 May 2022. 

28 councillors were elected to serve the people and communities of South Ayrshire - ten Scottish Conservative and Unionist; five Scottish Labour Party, nine Scottish National Party (SNP) and four independent.
