Register for Primary 1

The P1 Registration application process for August 2025 will open from Monday 13^th January 2025.

If your child is 5 years old between 1 March 2025 and 28 February 2026 in normal circumstances they will be due to start Primary 1 in August 2025.

Every child requires to register for education at their catchment school.

To complete the application you will be asked for the following:

• The name of your catchment school. Find your catchment school
• A scan or photo of:
  • Your child's birth certificate
  • Proof of residence (current council tax notice and recent utility bill)
  • Roman Catholic Baptismal certificate (denominational school only)

Register for Primary 1

If you do not wish your child to attend their catchment school you must do the following:

1. Complete the primary 1 registration process and
2. Submit a placing request form for the school you would like your child to attend. Parents/carers should be aware that once they have submitted a placing request application form they have no automatic right to a place at their catchment school.
