Register for Primary 1

P1 Registration for August 2024 is now closed.

If your child is 5 years old between 1 March 2024 and 28 February 2025 in normal circumstances they will be due to start Primary 1 in August 2024.

Every child requires to register for education at their catchment school.

To complete the application you will be asked for the following:

• The name of your catchment school. Find your catchment school
• A scan or photo of:
  • Your child's birth certificate
  • Proof of residence (current council tax notice and recent utility bill)
  • Roman Catholic Baptismal certificate (denominational school only)

Register for Primary 1

For those unable to complete the Primary 1 registration form online please contact your catchment school who will assist you with the registration process.

If you do not wish your child to attend their catchment school you must do the following:

1. Complete the primary 1 registration process and
2. Submit a placing request form for the school you would like your child to attend. Parents/carers should be aware that once they have submitted a placing request application form they have no automatic right to a place at their catchment school.
