Public toilets

A list of all public conveniences including those provided by private businesses through the Comfort Scheme.

Ainslie Park Public Conveniences, Girvan will be closed for essential refurbishment. There are alternative toilets at The Flushes - Bridge Street, Girvan and Girvan Harbourside.

From 02 April 2024 the charge to use the Public Conveniences within South Ayrshire Council will increase to 50p per visit.

Prepaid cards

If you don't have a chipped bank card or a smartphone, you can request a prepaid card which will give you access. These cards cost £6, which means you will be able to use them 12 times. The card can then be topped up online as required. There is no expiry date for the balance on the prepaid card.

If you need a prepaid card, please complete the form and a card will be posted out to the address you supply. Those who are unable to complete the online form can contact customer services on 0300 123 0900 to purchase or top up the card.

Please note: The public toilets at Barr and Ballantrae will not be affected by this change and our accessible toilets remain free, with access via RADAR key.

Disabled toilets

For a key for the disabled toilets apply to RADAR, call 020 7250 8191. RADAR Keys give you access to all toilets for the disabled throughout the country. RADAR keys are available to purchase at all South Ayrshire customer service centres.
