Lifeguard Courses

Citadel Leisure Centre - Monday 14th - Friday 18th April 2025. Assessment Date - Saturday 19th April 2025.
Maybole Leisure Club - Monday 11th - Friday 15th August 2025. Assessment Date - Saturday 16th August 2025.
Maybole Leisure Club - Monday 13th - Friday 17th October 2025. Assessment date - Saturday 18th October 2025.

All courses run from 9am - 5.30pm for 5 days (all days must be attended to gain qualification) - an additional day is required for assessment.

Citadel Leisure Centre - Friday 18th July 2025 - 10:00-14:00, Monday 21st - Friday 25th July 2025 from 09:30-16:30. Assessment Date - Monday 28th July 2025 - 09:30-16:30

Be 16+ years of age on the date of assessment
Jump / dive into deep water
Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds
Swim 100 metres continuously on front and 100m continuously on back n deep water, tread water for 30 seconds
Surface dive to the floor of the pool
Climb out of the pool unaided without using a ladder / steps where the pool design permit

£260.00 per course (may be subject to a price increase in April).

Speak to Reception on arrival to ensure there is a space in the course you want to attend, prior to completing your Course Pre-requisites (details above).
If you pass the Course Pre-requisites, you will be asked to complete an application form. (If you are under 18, please ensure you take a parent/carer along with you to sign the form.)
You must submit the completed application form to Reception and pay for your course prior to leaving the facility - you will only be guaranteed a space in the course once you have done this.
