Asset Transfer under the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015

Notice of asset transfer request

The period to make representations is now closed and the results will be published in due course.

An asset transfer request has been made to South Ayrshire Council under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015.

The request has been made by Prestwick Sailing Club (SC050995) and relates to Prestwick Sailing Club, 31 Grangemuir Road, Prestwick, KA9 1SN.

The request is to purchase the land currently occupied by the sailing club.

The proposed use is: as a hub for the whole community to sail, paddle, swim, row or windsurf. The Club plans to redevelop the clubhouse to install a lift, accessible showers and toilets and improved changing facilities.

Anyone may make representations about this request to South Ayrshire Council. Representations must be in writing, by e-mail or by online response as detailed below, and include the name and address of the person making it. A copy of the representation will be provided to the organisation making the CAT request, with an opportunity for them to make comment.

Representations must be made no later than 2nd December 2025 at 4:45pm.
